The Rossmoor LGBTQ+ Alliance, in conjunction with the Crescent Moon Center, will host Suzanne Bruce, Poet Laureate Emerita of Fairfield, who will lead an interactive poetry and art workshop for the Rossmoor Community.

We will explore poems written by LGBTQ+ poets, seeing how feelings of identity can be expressed through verse, and how it can transform readers by fostering empathy and understanding. We will also view art created by LGBTQ+ artists and see how art can be a catalyst for writing poetry.

Then, working in small groups, we will create collaborative poems! We will write lines together, learning about each other, and deepening our connections.

All genders and sexual orientations are welcome!

No poetry, writing, or art experience necessary. We will have fun together!
